About the event
Ko-Thi Dance Company commemorates 55 years of exceptional performance and cultural preservation. Founded in Milwaukee, WISCONSIN Ko-Thi Dance Company has been a beacon of African and Caribbean dance traditions since 1969, bringing CONTINUNITY, FAITH, and LOVE to audiences worldwide.
As we mark this milestone, it is important to acknowledge the significant role that black dance forms play in our cultural heritage. It's also essential to acknowledge the need for a safe and comfortable space for new and advance dancers to learn, cultivate, and network with amazing teaching arts nationwide.
Our dance & drum conference features workshops, discussions, and performances highlighting the diversity and richness of black dance forms. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with different techniques, styles, and cultures, deepening their understanding of the art form and itn s significance.
